Have the model and serial number from the plate ready, because the board, the valve and the motor are ordered to that number, and note what the lights are doing: the TC5 blinks a pattern with its wash, rinse, spin and soak lights, the TR7 and FF7 show a code on the display, and the pattern says whether the fault is filling, a washing machine not draining, the water-level sensor or the motor. The hoses and both sets of fill screens are the owner's job under Speed Queen's warranty, and often the whole story.

Speed Queen puts a filter screen at the faucet end of each fill hose and another set inside the water mixing valve, and its guide asks you to clean them every six months.
